Group Classes

Group classes are a great way to educate and motivate your staff. Pinnacle Training Systems offers a wide variety of classes, from healthy lifestyle seminars to fitness bootcamps, that give your employees the tools they need for wellness success.

Types of classes include: Health Education, Weight Loss, Group Fitness, Healthy Eating

Health Education

Knowledge is the first step in long term behavior change. We provide in person seminars or on line webinars on numerous topics related to stress management, nutrition, exercise, personal wellness and many more. These can be in the form of brown bag forums, lunch and learns or part of a seminar series.

Our staff are specifically educated and trained in exercise science, nutrition, wellness and health.  We understand that in order to improve health and fitness, information must be shared in an understandable and relatable manner.

Our health education is based on research and scientific information  and is presented in a simple to understand format allowing the audience to apply these straightforward, sustainable life changing values to their every day habits.

Stress Management

We utilize multiple stress management techniques that work in conjunction with current strategies used by departments such as peer support. Unfortunately, many first responders underestimate the effect of stress on mental and physical well-being.

Chronic stress can cause a variety of symptoms and can affect overall health and well-being. Symptoms of chronic stress include irritability, anxiety, depression, headaches, insomnia as well as over/under eating, alcohol and/or drug abuse and social withdrawal.

It's vital that police officers and fire fighters take proactive measures to protect themselves from stress. Wellness Pinnacle will partner with your organization to implement effective stress management programs.

Injury Prevention

The financial impact of musculoskeletal injuries makes it easy to see why departments need to implement an injury prevention program.  Our staff educate first responders on back safety, proper posture; correct lifting, carrying, moving and use of equipment.  We teach the importance of physical fitness, nutrition and stretching as well as healthy lifestyle choices.  And we encourage early intervention when an injury occurs as well as adequate rehabilitation.

In addition, we perform functional movement screenings (FMS).  By screening first responders, we are able to identify functional limitations and asymmetries. Our professional staff provide corrective exercises that will restore proper movement and build strength in each participant.

Our programs reduce worker's compensation costs as well as the incidence of injuries.

Academy Training

Offering classes at the worksite can be a useful tool in getting employees more active. These can be offered before, during or after work hours. Most popular formats include boot camps or walking programs. We create classes customized to meet your organizational needs.

Healthy Eating

Learn to maximize YOUR health and wellness through healthy and practical nutrition habits.Pinnacle Training Systems does not believe in diets and unsustainable eating habits.

This series will focus on the following simple principles:

  • Simplify. Instead of being overly concerned with counting calories or measuring portion sizes, think of your diet in terms of color, variety, and freshness. This way it should be easier to make healthy choices. Focus on finding foods you love and easy recipes that incorporate a few fresh ingredients. Gradually, your diet will become healthier and more delicious.
  • Start slow and make changes to your eating habits over time. Trying to make your diet healthy overnight isn’t realistic or smart. Changing everything at once usually leads to cheating or giving up on your new eating plan. Make small steps, like adding a salad (full of different color vegetables) to your diet once a day or switching from butter to olive oil when cooking.  As your small changes become habit, you can continue to add more healthy choices to your diet.
  • Every change you make to improve your diet matters. You don’t have to be perfect and you don’t have to completely eliminate foods you enjoy to have a healthy diet. The long term goal is to feel good, have more energy, and reduce the risk of cancer and disease. Don’t let your missteps derail you—every healthy food choice you make counts.
